- Failing to look at your interviewer when conversing

- Failing to demonstrate interest in company or industry
- Forgetting to express appreciation for the interviewer’s time
- Placing an undue emphasis on salary to the exclusion of all else
- Demonstrating intolerance or appearing to have strong prejudices
- Expecting too much too soon
- Exhibiting a laziness or lack of motivation

- Lack of career planning: demonstrating no identifiable purpose and goals
