Do you have a Security clearance? Are you looking for a new position? One GREAT resource is www.intelligencecareers.com. Not only does it provide up to date information about some of the hurdles and obstacles you will encounter when applying for a job with our esteemed U.S. Government and defense contractors, but it ALSO lists some 12,000 cleared jobs on the site to which you can apply if you’ve got the right credentials!!
Candidates can not only search for a job to their heart’s content, but they can ALSO add their resume to the site’s Database. Just click on the JOB SEEKER tab when the site opens, and it will bring up a screen where you can add your resume to the Data Base. (You are strongly encouraged to do so, as that is one very good way for a prospective employer to find you!)
Note that INTELLIGENCE CAREERS asks that you update your resume every 30 days–even if you just go in and change a word or two, that constitutes an update and your resume won’t be tossed out of the system.
If you are actively seeking a CLEARED POSITION, consider coming to the Career Fairs that are organized and hosted by INTELLIGENCE CAREERS.com. Click on the following link to find upcoming dates/locations:
So: who’s the brain behind this site? Well, his name is Bill Golden–the CEO– and he’s spent 20+ years in the Intelligence industry BEFORE opening the doors to Intelligence Careers. In fact, he does a lot of the writing on the site, answering questions, making comments and so on.
A brand new feature is the addition of a Radio web site where listeners can select from their all-time favorite type of music. But wait: not only will they get to hear some R-E-A-L-L-Y nice pieces of all types, but as an additional bonus, these are interspersed with occasional commentary from Bill and his special guests about the current state of the world and how to go about getting hired. (Patience seems to be the watchword of the day!) But, at your next opportunity, go to INTELLIGENCECAREERS.COM and see for yourself!
Oh: and should you need/want an explanation of anything pertaining to cleared jobs, just e mail me and I will happily forward along your query to Bill for an answer. HAPPY HUNTING! You can also reach me at 703-440-8515.
